Crywolf was launched in 2018 by artist and graphic designer Natalie Meldrum with the founding vision of getting kids outdoors and providing them with the outerwear to do so. Now in its 3rd year, Crywolf is proudly stocked in over 150 locations around the world and continues to grow.
Crywolf is a New Zealand owned brand with a head office and warehouse in Auckland.
All of our products are proudly designed and tested in New Zealand by adventure loving kiwi kids. The Māori name for New Zealand, Aotearoa translates to 'land of the long white cloud' and means we know our rain! Each collection and colour palette is inspired by stunning New Zealand landscape and showcases our unique corner of the world.
The AW21 range features limited edition prints and includes our 100% waterproof Play Jackets and Rain Overalls, innovative Magic Jackets, Rain Boots and cozy Eco-Puffers that are filled with recycled water bottles.
We are also excited to be introducing new products including Reversible Vests and GOTS Certified Organic Sweaters, as well as an Accessories Range.
We currently have an Autumn/Winter launch around February each year, as well as a Classics Collection of core products which is available year-round.
We also now have a Spring/Summer collection which launches around September.
All our seasonal collections are limited edition and we don't restock items so we recommend ordering early in the season to ensure you don't miss out!
We distribute from our Auckland and Sydney Warehouses every working day to ensure you get your Crywolf gear as quickly as possible.

Crywolf products are designed and tested in New Zealand, and manufactured by a small team in China.
We only work with small, family run factories who have acceptable ethical accreditations and are regularly audited to ensure they do not engage in any form of child labour or exploitative working conditions.
Our Director Natalie visits the factories regularly and because we only produce small quantities of our products, we are able to prioritise quality over quantity at every stage of the manufacturing and design process.
We are working on sharing more information on our manufacturing process soon.
For us at Crywolf, the sustainable process begins with consideration around the materials we select to create our products. Within our AW23 collection, we use environmentally considered components* in over 95% of our range.
*A percentage of each of these garments is made using recycled materials, organic cotton or natural rubber. Learn more about our materials here...

The Play Jackets, Magic Jackets and Overalls are waterproof to 3000mm, which means they will keep your child dry in at least 3 hours of rain.
The level of waterproofness of a product is defined using a Hydrostatic Head rating. This measures how much water pressure a fabric can withstand before it leaks, and is given a value (in mm) as an equivalent height of a water column. The British Standards Institution states that any fabrics over 1,500mm can be classed as waterproof.
A general rule of thumb when purchasing rainwear, is that for every 1000mm in the rating, children should be able to stand out in the rain for 1 hour without the water seeping through. At Crywolf we want to ensure that we offer waterproof levels that suit our customers needs, which is why have a minimum rating of 3,000mm on all our jacket and overalls products. This means children will stay dry in at least 3 hours of rain!
In addition to the waterproof rating, the design and construction of rainproof jackets provides further protection in wet weather. Our products include features such as double welded seams, peaked hoods, velcro wrist cuffs and storm flaps covering zips to ensure kids keep dry.
Please refer to our detailed Sizing Guide for key measurements for each of our products.
